The 2024 PIANC World Congress Accompanying Person’s programme has been carefully curated to ensure the perfect balance between Congress activities and day tours, mingled with a little personal exploration time.

The Itinerary for the AP Programme is as follows:

DAY 1

RED BUS TOUR

Explore Cape Town’s most historic, iconic, fun and interesting landmarks with a full day hop-on, hop-off Red Bus Tour.

DAY 2

BEST OF CAPE TOWN FULL DAY TOUR (8:30 – 8 HOURS)

Best of Cape Town Tour is a day filled with breathtaking beautiful scenery that includes the not to be missed Table Mountain, followed by a city tour that includes the Castle of Good Hope, Bo-Kaap, Noon Day Gun, in the afternoon you can relax sipping the stunning wines of Constantia, lay on the lawns and admire the beauty of Kirstenbosch Gardens, all in one day, the best value tour and most beautiful tour our mother city offers!

DAY 3

DIAMOND WORKS – HALF DAY TOUR & WORKSHOP

An Exclusive Jewellery Making Workshop

The 2-hour session includes bottomless bubbly served during the session (available to 18yrs+ attendees), chocolate truffles and a guided jewellery making class to make your very own special piece.

Use of all tools and the precious materials supplied are included in the package.

Each workshop features a different gem and different piece of jewellery.

DAY 4

V&A WATERFRONT SHOPPING AND LEISURE DAY

Prepare for the Congress Banquet or just enjoy some leisurely shopping at the renowned V&A Waterfront. Choose to enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of the incredible restaurants or cocktails with a view of the harbour.

DAY 5

TECHNICAL TOUR – STELLENBOSCH

Enjoy a visit to the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR: https://www.csir.co.za/) and Stellenbosch University (SUN: https://www.sun.ac.za/Home.aspx), followed by some leisurely exploring of the beautiful Stellenbosch winelands, including lunch.
